Had to replace my old one that had for 6 years same model.
Really good quality for the price.
Only downside I can find is that the sanding pads can wear quite quickly, don't feel overly resilient.
I primarily bought this to cut a section through skirting boards, which it did brilliantly without damaging floor or surrounding wall. Since then I've used it a lot for sanding, e.g. smoothing filler on walls before painting. Both jobs it does brilliantly and easily. My only preference wold be for a hard case, rather than the tote bag it comes in. It's a nice tote bag, but a case makes storing in the garage easier. But that's no reflection on the tool itself - which is brilliant!
Bought this to replace an old Draper multi tool. The DeWalt is much better - more powerful, lighter to hold, much quieter and a lot less vibration. If it lasts as long as the old tool I will be very happy. Three year guarantee is reassuring but only time will tell.
Excellent piece of kit and I think the quick release clamp for the blades is very good. Would highly recommend .
Powerful tool with a unique quick release blade system
Feels quality. Cut holes in architrave perfectly. Used it hide cable of Samsung frame tv
Great tool, cut out section of skirting board without any issues, just what i needed.
I got this as I have used my mates one a few times. It’s perfect for the jobs
Really good tool, easy to change mechanism, light is a bonus.
Perfect cutting cables into plaster, cutting back even hardwoods in inaccessible places. I wish I'd bought one years ago. Only criticism is that the documentation implies there is a full set of tools included - there are not!
The triangular sanding base eroded fairly quickly and, as a consequence, the sandpaper failed to adhere properly. I’m currently on my 3rd base! I had hoped that the De Walt brand would be a bit better than this.
Bought this unit to replace a cheaper brand tool which burned out with heavy use. This DeWalt tool is much hardier and can stand prolonged use without any problems. I would (and can) recommend this tool to anyone whom requires a work horse which will not let them down.
Superb piece of kit from a name you can trust. Should have bought one years ago!
Great little tool done everything I wanted it to do. Vibration may be an issue if used for long periods of time
rubish. this machine is awful. left my fingers vibrating for hours after using this was a last minute replacement as my fein multitool broke and needed to finish job.needles to say i will be getting my fein multitool fixed .and will bin this dewalt piece of rubish
Was going to go for a cheaper model and so glad I didn’t! This does exactly what it says on the tin definitely the right tool for multiple jobs
Great multi tool . The attachment to put the blade in is simple and robust not designed to fail . Had a very expensive multi tool £350 before and the blade attachment failed
Good quality tool with various attachments supplied. All of these come in a large handy carry bag that will accommodate more attachments. Very easy to change fittings without using hexagon key, just squeeze lever to open 'jaws' for inserting and extracting the fittings. Good amount of power with variable speed controlled by the switch. It works well. Recommended. Reasonably priced.
Great little multi tool, no complaints here, did exactly what I needed it to do.
