Lovely stylish tap fitted on new 1 1/2 bowl ceramic sink
Appears good quality and easily fitted, except the large brass nut is carried in an easily gripped tube. Mine had the threads full of plastic from the injection moulding and I didn't notice until I was contorted trying to fasten it up. Annoying but not a deal breaker. Customer was happy with the tap.
Easy to install and a good strong flow. Looks really expensive.
Nice looking tap, easy to use levers, the new method of e securing the tap body to the sink by means of a threaded larger body to the tap in place of a threaded stud with nut is a great idea but it needs modification as the threaded element is to small and does not grip as well as it should, been back to retighten on several occasions.
I am generally very pleased with this tap, the quality is excellent and the finish is very good.
My only comment would be that small feed holes for the water gives a very restricted flow on the hot side. In a kitchen application this isn’t a major problem but it might help other purchasers to include this info in the description. Overall a very well produced product.
Do not purchase this product. The thread on the under counter securing fitting aren't deep enough to secure it to the work surface. Even the Toolstation staff couldn't get it to tighten without burring out. A very frustrating product. Returned for refund.
It lets water through and does the job required of it !
A Well Engineered Product Which Regrettably is Let Down by a Poor Fixing Assembly Which Unfortunately doesn’t keep the Mixer tap firm Enough in Place On the Stainless Steel Kitchen Sink.. Eventually decided to Replace it with a Franke Mixer Tap.. Great Decision as this Mixer Tap has the Conventional Mononblock fixing Arrangement Which can be Tightened up using a Long Box Spanner..
AT the end of the day it's a tap so difficult to get too excited about it. However, its nicely made, feels smooth in operation and has a certain elegance to it. Added to this the spanner-less fixing (to the sink - not the water supply) which was a nice surprise, worked really well and saved me a lot of swearing.
All in all, it has proved a nice replacement for the previous unit at a decent price.
We bought this mono mixer to replace a dripping original mixer. Fitting and operation are simple, yet this tap has features found in far more expensive items. Ordering and collection was easy.
Nice tap - seems good quality for the price, so no reason to grumble
Avoid!! Cost me a lot of time as had to go elsewhere to find a different tap. The fixing for the tap is utterly useless as the thread is just way to short to work, as soon as you tighten it up, it falls apart. Nice tap, but rubbish fixings. Taking back for a refund .
Nice tap but only a couple of turns on fixing to base of tap so suspect it could come apart at some point
really good product. built in a way that no water spills out
Unfortunately I had to return this tap for a refund which Toolstation were happy to accept.
The fixing to the sink mechanism would be a really good idea but the design falls down as the the thread is just not long enough so that the tap would be hanging on just a couple of threads !
Tap itself is of very good quality and is much easier to install with a screw-in clamp instead of the usual fiddly horseshoe arrangement. Only marking down by one star as the sequence of installation in the instruction manual leaves much to be desired. I know it's not exactly rocket science, but a simple logical flow diagram would make a lot more sense, especially to a novice DIY'er. Other than that, it's a very good product.
