The ball of the ballcock sticks on the spindle so that it will not slide up and down, which when at the cistern fill level causes the valve to keep on dripping.

As previous review the cotter pins are flimsy and one broke when removing it.
I thought adjustable arm was a good idea as old system had ballcock touching the side of the cistern.
The delchem adjustable arm was too long even fully retracted so i had to cut it to fit. Poor design.
