Locking gate latch, had to hunt for this, but works so well

I’m very pleased with my gate latch, I bought some second hand decking for our caravan and there were no fittings for the gate when it arrived, we had it adapted to our caravan and I fitted the gate after they left, the hook part goes on a corner of the gate and the latch can be fitted flush or on the facing corner left or right handed by using the supplied adaptor plates. Once done it can be adjusted by loosening the screws on the hook part and it goes up and down about 20cm either way. Fitting is easy with the supplied self drilling screws but if I was doing it again I would drill smaller holes and use ordinary black stainless screws as the hole the screws drill is too big and the plastic of the gate is too soft so I ripped the first hole out by over tightening the screw, I was more careful with the rest.

Good quality gate latch although a bit expensive. Tool station offers this at a lower price than most.

I'm a postman so am used to all of the different sorts of gate latch used, and just now few of them work well - so many bounce and don't latch when gates are pushed shut. This latch works 100% of the time and looks smart. Nice long bar so it's flexible on how much of a gap you have on your gate. The lock is a handy feature too, although I've not needed to use it yet.
Another great bit of kit I previously bought the hinge of the same brand and I am impressed again, can see this latch lasting years. Really simple to fit and if you get that annoying gate drop it can easily be adjusted meaning no faffing with the hinges.

Installed after purchasing a standard latch, and discovering the gate post was too small to accommodate it. It's not cheap, but it's really well made, and will do the job well.
NB because the mounting screws go in to the side of the gate and post as well as the face, you need a bit of clearance between the gate and post - check out the dimensions and clearances on the manuf's website before purchasing
I was looking for a more designed latch with one side lock for my back garden gate. It does perfectly the job. The price paid at the time was even cheaper than some main online retailers.
