Good quality and value. Easy to fit. Particularly liked the top-fit feature.
Excellent quality toilet seat and fittings. Customer very happy.
Nice looking and easy to fit soft close seat. It has a nice solid feel when lifting the seat and cover. If I was being a bit picky the actual item is a lighter colour than in the picture....... Although, from my experience of these seats they do darken after a few months. Also easy to remove for cleaning. Could be considered a bit high priced but it is a very good quality product.
Firstly, it is solid wood and not a composite with a wrap covering.
It looks good, fits well and the soft close is excellent – so far! (only collected and fitted it 3 days ago).
As for fitting, reasonable simple once you study the 4-pages of instructions and images.
It is better made and smarter looking than I expected. It is quite a fast slow close, so it makes bit of a noise when it lands but if you open and close by hand it doesn’t fight back and if you should knock it closed it doesn’t crash down. Now I am used to it I much prefer it this way
Didn’t grip well adhesive pads did nothing. Seat looked marked underneath in large areas where varnish or colouring hadn’t taken. I’m a professional plumber, don’t think I’ll buy again.
This is the 4th Croydex soft close toilet seat we’ve had in the last 3 years. We originally chose Croydex as it’s always been a good quality leading brand but I’m afraid not any more! The seat starts off ok but the hinges are clearly not up to the job and the last one sheered off in half! We also don’t like the way the lovely shiny silver trim soon becomes cloudy and ‘bobbled’. We’ve tried everything but cannot find any cleaning products to restore it to its former glory. The only reason we chose a 4th Croydex was for simplicity, right now I haven’t got the time or energy to start figuring out new fixings…it was just a case of taking the old seat off and putting the new one straight back on. We’ve had it for about 3 weeks and so far, so good. Lovely seat, very controlled soft close and no discolourations but only time will tell. At £58, I do expect a higher standard. Oh and did I mention that Croydex customer support is practically non existent. Once a product is over a year old, they don’t want to know. It’s sad but true that we live in a ‘disposable world’ where nothing is engineered to last.
Great seat! The wood grain looks really good. It's not that easy to insert the "top-fixing" rubber washers for the hinges if the holes in the pan are a bit tight but warming them up and a bit of silicone grease works in the end.
I'll probably buy another for our downstairs loo.
