Appears sturdy enough to provide extra support for elderly person stepping down out of front door. It was annoying that you need to hunt down some pan headed screws to fix it to the wall, hence only 4 stars.
Good solid item. A bit smarter than the pressed metal ones imho. D= the depth from the wall, not the diameter. I used countersunk screws with small metal washers to spread the load. I also used washers underneath, between the wall and the item, so that the plastic wouldn;t be stressed.
Good strong hand rail easy to install and the cover hides the screw heads would recomend
Second one of these I have purchased from Toolstation. Very good ABS rail, fitted in about 30 minutes for a bath shower and they are extremely rigid and firm. Excellent value for money. Used 6 of my own panhead stainless No 10, 2 inch screws through tiles into brick wall. Plenty of screw holes so in my case one hole hit mortar so I put an extra screw in that end. Covers click into place hiding all screws.

As I was aware in advance, these grab rails need pan headed screws which seem remarkably difficult to get by comparison with countersink screws. ( I could not quickly find them in stock in my local town but found them on-line.) Perhaps sales outlets could consider adding a fitting kit to their offerings? There is a good choice of grab rail sizes available as you could see around my house.
