Great old school paint. Easy to apply and covers old stained gloss work very well
Paint is ridiculously thin and drips like water. Runs badly.
poor quality paint from crown, dried back patchy.
pay a little more and get better quality!!!
Goes on easy. Reasonable lack of drips and good coverage. Also dries at a reasonable speed so it'll certainly be ready for gloss coat tomorrow. It is oil based so difficult to clean hands but brushes clean up really well when dipped in white spirit

The Crown Contract Undercoat I thought was a bit runny for my liking I would prefer it to be slightly thicker. Working with the brush above my head I couldn’t put too much paint on it as it would run off the brush. Apart from that I did like to use the paint as an undercoat.

Good quality undercoat as you would expect from a major manufacturer like Crown (unlike their contract all purpose primer which is junk). It goes on well, covers well with good opacity, dries to a matt finish which is easily sanded down and provides a good base for a top coat.
Yet again, it’s always a pleasure to return to collect my purchases. The staff are always pleasant, courteous and helpful.

As with any proper paint, it takes a lot longer to dry than water based paints but gives best results when the user knows the meaning of preparation.
Paint goes on really well, have used this paint before with no problems
