The tin says use brush but doesn't mention a roller. It left terrible tramlines. So I bought the small Fortress 4inch short pile rollers and it was brilliant. Use rollers and not brush. I went over the brush painted doors and skirting boards with the roller. The speed with which one can apply with a roller was fantastic. Paint is very bright white, runnier than the oil based paints but not a problem. Beforehand I used the Leyland Trade Acrylic Primer Undercoat (water based) that was applied with a brush, so I could see light brush strokes; if the undercoat was applied with a roller as well it would have been even smoother finish, I guess. Cleaning was great with just water.
Covers well, brush or roller, gives a great finish and low odour.
Does exactly as it says on the tin food product and easy to use

I am not a painter but I have done a fair amount of painting in my houses over the last 50 years and unfortunately I have found this paint the least satisfying of any I have ever used in the past. Cover seems to be very poor! Perhaps it is the paintwork over which I am painting which is causing the problem?
Only gloss I will use or buy . Stays white and covers as it should.

When I collected paint the lid of tin had 2 pieces of heavy duty tape across the top which I thought was an excellent touch, because you never know, well done staff at Sutton in Ashfield branch.
Water based paint is so much more pleasant to work with, no smell and easy to clean, and dries quickly so can get primer and 2 coats on in a day, job done ! The technique of painting is a bit different, to oil based but once you get it, it's fine.
This paint dries far too quickly. Almost impossible to “lay off” as paint starts to drag. Gave up trying to paint a door because of this.
Great for a cheap product. Not as tough as the usual gloss but definitely tough enough to do the job. And still leaves a good finish

it's ok, but it takes a few coats if your putting it on a none porous surface.
