Average quality ideal for tight locations as was this location on a pipe. Not used on cylinder. Terminals a bit weak.
Cover too tight fitting making wiring awkward.
Captive screw plastic locking device doesn't have enough threads. Insufficient headroom inside the box makes cable runs awkward.
Brilliant did what it’s supposed to do easy to fit
Kept changing three port valve thinking that was at fault and finally realised it was the cylinder thermostat. Good price paid and works fine. Happy.
Good for a budget cylinder thermostat. Bought this to replace old one that was wildly inaccurate.
Good value. Easy to fit with supplied spring. Seems to be working well. Has bulb type rather than bimetallic thermostat.
cylinder thermostat well pleased easy to fit and gives excellent temperature control of water temperature, good quality product good price, good counter service
Easy to fit
Works as it should
Simple to connect
Excellent thermostat very accurate cut off at set temperature and back on after 5 degrees drop as advertised. Great value and small size.
Does what it's meant to - turns off and on when the heating pipes get hot & cold. Well made but was either missing a bit or couldn't understand how to connect it a pipe with the supplied spring coil. Use a cable tie or something else instead.
Easy ti fit , working very well , just the job for little money
Bought this item to replace a Honeywell thermostat. It has only been on a few days, but was easy to fit and so far is working well. Appears to be good value for money.
Good value easy fit just a tweet to get temperature right
Straight replacement for a 20+ year old Drayton unit that was no longer controlling the temperature of the the hot water tank (much too hot). Easy to wire in - although the previous unit didn't need to be earthed, whereas this one does (I read other reviews saying it is WRONGLY described as being double insulated and therefore not requiring an earth connection).
I am not a heating engineer but this unit seems to use a thermometer type bulb on the rear to measure the temperature rather than a bi-metallic strip - which I understand should be more accurate.
Whatever, this unit has controlled the temperature to the 60 degree Celsius temperature recommended, so happy days!
Pleased with this unit so far. Bought based on it's sensitivity range (doesn't let the cylinder temperature fall too far before turning on the boiler). Since it is dual purpose (cylinder or pipe) have had to experiment with the temperature setting - easily sorted and now satisfactory.
A capillary type thermostat with the bulb housed in a groove in the metal base that contacts the cylinder. The range between calling and satisfied is about 5 degrees C.
It fitted in the same cut out in the cylinder foam as the bi-metallic type it replaced that had a claimed range of 8 degrees but in practice more like 15. It requires an earth connection so I had to replace the existing cable with a 4 core. Water heating systems of course vary, mine has the thermostat mounted in the one third up from the base position and set midway between 40 and 45 degrees after a little experimentation, this setting is giving 51 degrees a the hot taps when the boiler cuts out.
Replaced old bimetallic strip thermostat that had seized up, this looks to be a thermocouple type. Clear instructions and neat design would recommend
very easy to fit and connect. nice to be able to control the water temp again. also very reasonably priced
Great value for money, only complaint is the bucket for the the wire terminals (C cradle) is a real pfaff as they are mounted at 90 degrees to the wire entry. But it's fine and has an easy to read and adjustable dial (for when the slot in your insulated tank is halfway round the back of the tank). Comes with a stretchy cable to clamp to the tank, as well as a pipe attachment spring.
Works very well, very responsive thermostat. Seems well made.
