The cost of the actuator unit on its own was MORE than the actuator and valve unit together. The actuator worked well, but it annoys me that I am wasting the valve, which I did not need. Surely, it should have been available for less????
Good price, works as well as the more expensive Honeywell one. Bought it as I was in a rush only wanted the head but the Toolstation catalogue is not clear about the ones on offer (whether they're 2 or 3 port)

Simple but effective. It would be helpful if these valves had LED indicators on them to indicate when they are energised and when the valve has enabled the control circuit.
The cove is not the easiest to get on and off.
Just as good as all the top manufacturers valves also easy to fit
This valve is as good as any other , only downside is that it would be better if the manufacturer could fit a terminal at the end of the cable to plug into the existing junction box.

This valve let by immediately on installation keeping the HWS primary pipes red hot. As it was installed on the HWS circuit it is important that it shuts off completely to stop overheating. I returned this product an brought the plumbers recommended option by Drayton which was marginally cheaper?
this valve is NC that is normaly closed, to save fuel in a two floor house in the UK it would spend more time powered (ie 6.00pm to 8.00am every 24 hours), so it would be good if Toolstation started selling NO (normaly open) valves.
And also NO is better if a fault condition occurs.
