Used this to go from 15 mm copper pipe to a flexible hose adaptor. The fitting is good quality and easy to install. No PFTE tape or putty required to get it to seal.
The only negative is that I found there was a burr on the flexible tap connector side that needed to be sanded off.
I'd buy these again.
Conex are the best compression fittings. Used properly they don’t leak !
Does the job both ends fitted nicely to pipe and hose
Good quality fitting and worth the slight extra cost over cheaper brands.
Perfect for connecting basin tap hot and cold tails to 15mm pipe.
Used conex as I find them better quality than in house brands, even though they are more expensive. Also the conex website gives tightening instructions to prevent leaks and over tightening. Used to connect tap tails to water supply.
Great product for attaching tap flexy to
It is very difficult to fault Toolstation. They gave excellent electronic facilities giving a very simple and easy purchase through the Internet. I didn't buy a great deal this time but whilst their competitors might seemingly gave a better image I feel Toolstation is slightly ahead given the chance...
Purchased ten of these for a project at home and they were just the right fitting for the job. Well made and worth buying.
Just what I needed, did the job perfectly
Great product, at a great price
does what you would expect
These are by far better quality than any others on the market.
Simple no fuss fitting with no leaks every time
Good, sturdy item bought during restricted times. The customer service was very good during these odd conditions.
Bought this the other day to connect a garden hose to my mixer shower hose due to not having an outside tap. Works a treat, worth the little cost for the huge gain.
Yes, it is possible to connect a 1/2" tap connector directly to the outlet of another compression fitting (non-return valve, etc.) but the edge of that is a bit sharp and angled as it's designed to compress an olive onto the pipe. This has one side designed to do that, and the other has a flat surface that will make a much better seal with the tap connector. It's pretty easy to fit and quite compact, with a section in the middle you can get a spanner/wrench to hold the connector while tightening the nut. No problems using it so far, and easy to fit.
Bought this specific product (Conex 15mm male connector with Sandra written on it - not banninger) because I had purchased it before and found it to be better made than its competitors. Unfortunately conex have decided to save a penny or two and the latest purchase is very poorly made. Now has a very very small flat shoulder at the end of the male thread (non compression side of this connector) which is designed to seal with a fibre washer (NOT SUPPLIED) against a flat surface on a 1/2 inch female connection ( eg on a shower mixer valve body) not at all sure the shoulder is sufficient to form a water tight seal. Might have to resort to wrapping lots of PTFE tape round the thread instead - but then you might as well use a straight 15mm compression fitting, or better still one with a tapered thread which is designed to jam in tight. The flat surface at the start of the 1/2 inch male thread is fine and adequate to make a good seal when fitted to a female connector which has a rubber seal at the bottom (eg as fitted to the end of some flexible tap hoses).
Just what was required to fit some new mono-block basin taps
