This worked an absolute treat, just couldn't get the soldered one to seal, probably my fault but I decided to take it off, clean it up and put this conex fitting on. So easy, little bit of tape on the thread, 2 spanners, nipped it up and No leaks, left tissue underneath overnight just to confirm it was OK which it was.
Quality product as always from conex. Shame about the price
I usually have these compression joints in my toolbox. For some reason Id used them all.
I went to Tool station and was able to complete my job. Such a relief that places like Tool station exist.

The only reason I gave this 4 stars is that I prefer the fittings that have a nut style so you can use a spanner instead of pliers to tighten but it did the job
Been using Conex for 40 years or so and never been disappointed or let down. They are slightly longer than other cheaper fittings BUT you can get a standard adjustable across the centre flats and it doesn't foul the either nut when done up hard. The fittings is also slightly heavier than others and the olives and proper full shoulder and so can stand more compression and can also be pulled off easily.
