This replaced a corroded blank on an old twyfords cistern.
Easy shopping for this item to plug the old overflow pipe in our cistern.
A handy item to have bought brilliant got two just incase
Toolstation advertise this "Code 32757 Cistern Stopper" fits into a 1/2 inch hole. That is NOT correct, it is wrongly described in Toolstation's advertised information. The diameter of the screw part of the stopper is 3/4 inch diameter, so it will not fit into a 1/2 inch hole. The advertised information needs to be corrected to prevent other customers being misled.
It's the most efficient way of closing up unwanted holes and it's quick and easy.
The threaded diameter is far too small to seal off an overflow or water inlet valve hole in a cistern even the domed top only just about covers the hole. Cheap and you get what you pay for.
It works! What can you say about a nylon plug?
Does what it says on the packet
The deranged cistern came to meet its end one filthy night in Las Vegas. The cistern stopper was all guns blazing as the saloon doors swung back and the ceramic shards told no lies as they lay on the beer soaked floor of the Hunker Hunker bar restaurant and grill, all you can eat for a fiver.
Leaked without using a rubber washer
Bought this to seal the overflow hole at the bottom of our cistern, as part of full cistern refurbishment. No leaks. Good value for money. Works well.
Works well, no leaks but I did add a smearing of Plumber's Mait around the nut as I screwed it up, just to make sure.
Simple but effective white plastic plug for toilet cistern
