Does what it says, bought the install kit, good flow rate
Works great sometimes then inexplicably stops softening the water even though it has power and salt and water
Excellent product, perhaps installation kit and pressure valve should be included, instructions poor.
Easy to replace my old water softener, and easy to set up! It’s British too!!
As supplied the softener is set to recharge every 7 days. Calsoft will explain how to change this so that it recharges based upon metering but I then ended having to keep on measuring the softness of the water and reducing its capacity. It started at 2000l and when it was below 1500l and still putting out hard water Toolstation agreed to refund. I've since purchased a BWT softener and the product and their support are far superior. It is a more expensive product but it works.
Great bit of kit, easy to install and set up, water soft within days, highly recommended.
Having a house extension so we thought of getting a water softener. The size is perfect for us.
Good but instruction manual could be better. The unit has been installed and working for about 3 weeks. It seems to be working fine and should prove itself to be good value for the price paid. It is not obvious it is a metered device as the regeneration happens every 7 days, even if very little water has been processed by the unit.
There are several setting on the device which are not shown in the instructions, so have to call Calmag to make changes. Would be helpful to see all settings in the manual with a description of what they do.
E.g. The water in our area is particularly hard. We had to call Calmag so that they could tell us how to change the default setting.
Good product and could be given 5 stars but the instruction are poor. Still don’t know how to adjust settings.
I bought this 3 months ago. It worked fine for couple of months but after I had to disconnect as some plumbing was required. On connecting back, I started manual regeneration who went on for 10 hours after which I had to disconnect by switch off the power. On switching power back, blue screen on the control panel started blinking and wouldn't come back to normal. I contacted customer service but they refused to provide any help. They would say since machine was working in the beginning it must be your fault. They wouldn't acknowledge guarantee mentioned on the site. Intact I couldn't find any detailed guarantee document. I think this product is a joke and reputed website like Toolstation should keep away from it.
