Best water descaling, easy to install, long term use
Well this might be for you…scale inhibitors do they work or don’t they…..no idea however I am required to fit them for combi boiler installation in hard water area, so I have to presume the boiler manufacturers have done their due diligence and they actually do make a difference. This is an electrolytic one giving whole house protection, and was easy to fit above incoming mains stop tap.
Good for whole house protection due to 22mm size, also to protect cylinders alone
Easy to fit and the difference is immediately noticeable.
Faulty, would not seal at one end, same end was getting stuck on the copper pipe. We had to replace with a length of copper pipe as water was seeping out of that connection. Would not trust another one. May get a different brand after building work is finished.
Fitted as part of a h/water cylinder upgrade and appeared to have an immediate positive effect, noticeable in less limescale in kettle
New one is metal bodied, strong and doesn’t break the earth bond. Unlike the existing which was plastic, cracked and leaking. No idea if it actually works
