Great tool! Very well manufactured and price is good. Forget any of the plastic grass rakes.
Although I have only used my new Bulldog rake a few times so far, it appears to be sturdy and effective. It is well made, and the longer lip of the tines are useful for picking up piles of leaves etc. by using your hand to hold one side and the rake to hold the other. I also like the fact that the handle is wooden, sturdy, and exactly the right length, as well as being more environmentally friendly. If the rake proves durable in the long term, I will be very happy indeed.

Haven't used rake yet but as a keen gardener and one who has a great relationship with my lawn, I can tell by the sturdy structure of the rake that this tool will be excellent for hand scarifing the lawn come spring.
A plastic rake is only good for gathering leaves, this beauty with it's steel 'tines' is perfectly suited to loosen the matt lying slightly under the surface.
Price wise - a gift under £30.

Sturdy piece of equipment. Completed job effectively - easy to handle. As usual I recommend wearing protective gloves otherwise might blister up if used for a period of time.
