Excellent quality at a great price. Spare blade included too!! Highly recommended.
Weld to hold blade was extremely weak and broke as soon as put any tension on but for £9 what do you expect?
Disappointing, the tensioning pin for the blade sheared the first time I used the saw
The design of the Bulldog bow saw has changed since I last purchased one a couple of years ago. Not sure about the locking/tightening device, will it be as robust as the old method. Time will tell. Not as expensive as I thought it would have been.
Very happy with this at good price. Does everything I need it to do
Good saw for the price, especially as it comes with both Green wood and Brown / Dry wood blades.
Easy to use and easy to change blades as needed.
Very useful tool that makes easy work of cutting through wood for logs. Good quality for a good price.
Although theres a large competitor a few yards away i always use Toolstation, I find the staff friendlier and prices cheaper without compromising quality
I already had a 24 inch bow saw and was only looking for a replacement blade. However I bought this and discovered that one of the blades was for green wood and the other for dry. I now have two saws for different purposes. Win win!
Easy to order and ready for collection within the hour. Great value too.
Great value for the money and with a spare blade too!
Good quality product and useful to get a spare blade. Could do with a blade guard included too
Very good price especially with spare blade. Bought this to use cutting up a tree trunk which it did no problem.
Bought this as cheaper than some replacement blades and this comes with a spare blade and better quality than my old Bow saw. Works well sharp and cuts easily
Does what its supposed to do, only 3 stars as no blade guard and the green colour is no help when you put the saw down among the green tree branches you jus cut off😂
Brilliant for rough cutting a blown over tree, into manageable pieces
Having bought some budget blades - Roughneck & Amtech - and finding both to be poor quality (sharp, yes, but little tooth offset, so very quickly and frustratingly bind in wood), I checked out the reviews for this fellow, and decided to take a punt. Good move!
The actual saw frame is well made, with a chunky and comfortable handle. It is very easy to swap blades, with a large and ergonomic tension knob at the handle end, and a butterfly nut at the other - make sure you tighten the latter properly, or it could slacken and, cough, fall off... Easy to find a replacement nut & bolt.
So, the 'saw' is very decent, and will, of course, take all makes of blades. But, even here, I'm pleased to report that the supplied 'Bulldog' blades, whilst not quite up to, say, Bahco quality, are nevertheless very usable indeed, and cut well. Yes, they do tend to give a curving cut in thicker timber, but it cuts cleanly and quickly.
A wee hint - once it starts to lose it's keen cutting edge, turn it around for a new lease of life; the 'backs' of the teeth will have received less wear!
Cracking purchase. Superb value.
does the job, spare blade supplied as well which is good
Great saw for the price, done exactly as I wanted, cutting trees down in garden.
Great saw for cutting tree branches and goes through with ease
Value for money, very useful. Extra blade a good idea
