Brother PTE110 Handheld Label Printer

I have finally experienced what it must been like for cavemen discovering fire for the first time. After using a manual labeller for years this is a revelation.

Only drawback is the amount of wasted tape due to where the cartridge sits in the machine. Not great if you are buying full price branded cartridges. But you don’t have to look far to find a more economically viable source of cartridges.

Great product. Only downside I can see is, like many others have mentioned here, the excessive empty tape at the start and end of each label.

Positives:
1 - Quick and easy to use.
2 - The labels it produces are clear and without any blemishes.
3 - It has lots of different options so that you can customise the label how you want.
4 - Keyboard and buttons seem to be made of a decent quality rubber that is hard wearing.

Negatives:
1 - Label refilles are very expensive (I recommend buying decent quality unbranded ones off of shamazon)
2 - It seems to waste the labels as it leaves a large margin from the end to where it begins printing (This cannot be fully adjusted in the software)

Conclusion:
Slightly overpriced and seems to be designed to be a bit wasteful (Unusable margins).
But it does the job very well.

Can use a variety of label cartridges from black on white to black against a clear background m includes mains cable, but will run on 8 AAA alkali fre natteries not supplied. 5 Stars

Excellent printer with many options. A little difficult to interpret the graphic instructions but ok if you persevere.

Bought awhile ago to identify my electrical switch plates . Very useful addition to my tool kit.

Good solid product, does everything you’d expect. Easy to use right out of the box but you will need to provide your own batteries.

This is an excellent piece of kit at a great price.However.it wastes around 4cm of tape per label. As most of my labels are shorter than this, I am binning over half the tape cartridge, and at the price they are, that's really poor.The design team needs to get its act together.

The machine is I am sure fine. A favourite saying is by George Bernard Shaw: The problem with communication is the illusion that it has taken place. The instructions are a classic case of this.

bought this for a job that needed label's, very easy to use.
