Taps delivered next day. Very happy with them. They have been installed and no problems at all. Good quality taps.
The taps arrived promptly and were exactly as described and whilst having limited plumbing skills, I installed them without a problem.
However when it came to turning them on and the cold tap operated as normal (for me) the hot tap had to be turned clockwise to operate and was a little noisy. I persevered for a fortnight but at 75+ years I constantly turned the handle the wrong way for on and off, and I rang Bristan’s helpline. Surprised that it was answered on first ring I was politely advised that this was the new norm but was offered a cold water valve to replace the one in hot tap. A promt, helpful and efficient remedy resolved to my total satisfaction.
Excellent service from Toolstation with delivery arriving as promised within the 2 days. Taps fitted but they turn on in different directions unlike the same taps that they were replacing. Waiting for Bristan to reply as they have a 10 year guarantee and I don't think that they are as they should be!
Good looking taps. Appear to be well made. My only criticism is they turn in opposite directions to one another, ie the hot turns clockwise for on, the cold anti clockwise. Easy action and no dripping.

Beautiful chrome plated brass taps, excellent Bristan quality and gorgeous traditional design.
I have had the previous model of the Bristan 1901 Bath shower mixer for about 10 years but it eventually wore out so I replaced it with the latest version with ceramic taps. The new version fitted straight on to the stalks of the old which was good. But the taps on the new version only have a 1/4 of a turn so it is considerably harder to fine tune the temperature of the water coming out of the outlet. So the new version is not as good as the old
