I used it to join two pieces of garden hose together. It took about a minute to fit and, once in use, doesn't leak.
Absolute bargain. Why buy another brand for 2 / 3X the ££?

Excellent fitting. Don’t know what all the fuss is about with some of the other reviewers - very easy to fit even with my heavy duty Hozelock Ultimate hose. Nice seal and no leaks. More compact than the plastic versions.

Very robust and at a good price too. Ignore the reviews from those who said the grips needed filing down or whatever - they don't know what they're doing. Dunk the end of your hose (ooh-er!) in a cup of boiling water for a minute before fitting so it goes supple. It'll make a great join then.
Once hose is placed into fitting it is very hard to get to bite and compress the clamp. To such an extent that I had to file down the clamp teeth to a taper for it to work - eventually.

Excellent connection that takes up very little space and is free of leaks. Had a bit of difficulty assembling and had to file off the edge of the plastic inserts to get the thing together.
I needed a connector that would stand a lot of use and be reliable with the spray gun. Plastic connectors have cracked when dropped or come loose with the constant handling the gun gets. Well made and good value.

Short of winning a Nobel Prize in DIY, getting this bit of kit to join two hose pipes (half inched, not pinched) was probably the most exciting and life changing experience of my gardening tasks to date. Buy one, even if you do not have a hose.
