Nicely sieved sand but quite damp unfortunately. Did the job mind you.
I have had Blue Circle mortar mix in the past when I just had just a little bit or pointing to do & assumed this would be the same (as it says on the bag Just Add Water). It says “Mortar Mix” but it’s not even Mixed! You get a bag of sand with a small bag of cement on top & then guess what amount of cement to the amount of sand for the small amount of mortar I needed.
Great once I got the bag of cement included - first bag had it missing! - Easy to use
What can I say. It's good that the sandwich and cement are in separate bags so you mix the amount you require for the job that you are doing.
All process very easy. Ordered online for collection which was very easy and a nice lady.
Thought it was premixed, but it was 9kg of sand with a separate bag of cement, which cost £10.50! On top of this, when mixed it didn’t set properly, so really disappointed with this purchase.
Disappointed with the purchase. Expected the contents to be premixed, however it came as as sand and a separate bag of cement in the packaging. This meant needing to mix the whole bag, which was not as I had expected.
Used to make good arouns flue, also to fill external gaps in brickwork.
Does the job. We had a bit of pointing to do and it served to do just that.
The mortar mix is not ready mixed so you need to dry mix first then add the water. It's a bit of a red-brown colour, not your usual grey.
Bottom line - it mixes fine and produces good quality mortar that sets within the specified times.
As a total novice, found this easy to mix and apply.
Very useful small pack of mortar mix for that minor repair job that you know needs to be done! Product contains a bag of fine sand with a separate pouch of cement included so you can mix as much or little as required. Just add water. Simples.

Her who must be obeyed searched out Blue Hawk Mortar Mix. She pointed out there were gaps and this would do the job so being a good husband I let her fill them in. If it’s that easy then I give my better half a pat on the back. Thanx Pat.
