Works as advertised in 15 minutes. Not easy to see when it's properly mixed.
Used on an external product and, has weathered well.
Worked well to fill moving crack in wall. Holds well, sands easily. Don't use too much hardener - it won't give you very long to work.
Easy to apply, tried it on quite a badly rotten window frame and worked well. As others have said you only need to use a little of the hardener. Gave a rough sand after 15mins to shape and later with finer grit provided a very smooth and hard finish. Primer paint adhered well.
Decent filler, that did sand back well. Although it set very very quickly so you must work fast. I followed advice in the product reviews and used way less of the fixing agent than recommended.
First time using this particular brand of expoxy filler and I wasn't disappointed - mixes easily, hardens quick enough and sands just as it says it does. Will I use it again .... yes probably.
Used this to fix the plastic trim fixed around the glass on a front door. the trim had become cracked and pieces were missing. This product mixed up really well and went on very nicely, it didn't go off too quick allowing shaping to near the original which minimised sanding. Couple of light coats of spray paint and it looks good as. Good product.
Wanted the filler to repair a fibre glass planter box Big Boy was perfect for the job would recommend.
It worked well for the job I needed to do. A slight problem was trying to judge the amount of activator needed for the small amount of filler it required.
The instructions are misleading as regards the mix.A waste of material.A small amount of hardener is required only definitely not 50/50.The filler was going solid before actually applying it,I mean literally in seconds. It doesn’t give much time to work with it especially when trying to shape it on an awkward part of a door (UPVC).Very debatable whether I would use it again although I did discover the mix that was eventually suitable.
great product at a great price. Toolstation is so easy to pick up from
Fix a hole in a teak window sill didn't want to rip out the whole frame it was sound. What I would say is do a little bit at a time and build up to existing wood frame. The tin mix half putty with half hardener is misleading and I feel you would waste a lot of filler
Patched a rowing boat hull and repaired a cracked bath panel in my home. Easy to use, fast curing and rock solid once set. It also sands extremely well to give a flawless finish. This sensibly priced repair kit is highly recommended.
Have used to join wood frames which had come apart which were not east to nail/screw. Seems to have provided a strong bond. Sets very quickly which is useful but you need to be able to use what you have mixed quickly.
works well but needs better instructions on mixing.
Good filler, nice fine finish, would buy again, price is good too
Good stuff, similar to David's Isopon, except that it seems to dry even harder.
Used this epoxy filler for severe rot in a wooden window - centre astrical and bottom rail.
Easy mix.
However, difficult to judge how much hardener to use with a batch of resin.
My first batch (~1/3rd of the putty) went rock solid before I had applied a third of it !!
After that I just mixed small batches which worked out ok.
No problems smoothing off or sanding after hardening fully.
Bound very well to the wood and the painted finish looks great
Very easy to use spreads over repairs very smoothly nice to sand back and bonds extremely well professional finish once sanded very nice product
Not fit for purpose!
Used these products for decades though never this brand. This one is not fit for purpose! When applied it just bobbles away much erasers do when rubbing out pencil marks.
Toolstation thanked my for my feedback on the product but failed to refund, and lost a customer.
