works well if applied correctly. would recommend for DIY
The small kit was v helpful in repairing a bath following tenant damage. Good instructions for use.
Very good quality and enough proportions to use all of the kit.
Perfect. stars 🌟 used it on my fishing rods.
It can be used on plenty other things.
A decent, comprehensive repair kit. Plenty of epoxy and matting. One star deducted because there is no mixing measurement guide so you need to estimate the hardener quantity; and the brush and gloves supplied are single use and low quality.
Great little kit, I had accidentally damaged a tall set of fibreglass steps, a stack of ripped mdf fell on them..I bought two of the kits because I didn’t know how much resin I would need, guessing two would deffo cover it. I have fibreglass roofing kit as do it as part of my work, but no in date resin. I super glued the crack where it should sit, I then sanded the area, cleaned down with acetone ready to glass.
Everything is in the kit except acetone (nail varnish remover would do for small diy patch.) I had to calculate resin to hardener, I used a set of digital scales to get the 1:3 ratio spot on to weight..although there seemed plenty of hardener, so increased it by a bit. There is a plastic pot to mix in, mixing stick and small application brush.. I cut the glass fibre sheet to size and applied 3 layers overall, with sanding and acetone cleaning between..they are rated at 150kg and I’m about that… the repair is solid I bounced my full weight on the two rungs adjacent to the repair, no cracking or any different flexing from original on the other side. Really pleased. Returning unused kit.
Great product that really repaired my broken cooker
This was very easy to use and did a smashing job, very intense fumes so you need good ventilation and better rubber gloves as the ones provided are not very good. Didn’t take that long to dry as I only had to do a very small hole but overall it’s a fantastic product and did excellent job.
I’m not a professional tradeswoman by all measures but found the instructions very informative and easy to follow. The product is very tough and strong and I would definitely recommend this product to anyone needing to fix a hole in any fibreglass items with damage to them. The amount of coverage you get for the money is extremely good value; 30cm by 60cm easily. For one coat and you can cut the sheet to your needed size and just layering each time for a good thickness and better quality finish.
Well described. About 40 x50 cm glass sheet and double the quantity of resin required
I buy 1 or 2 a year of these they are good value and very useful for general repairs.
First time I have used this manufacturer and it was refreshing to be supplied with enough resin to carry out some significant applications. The activator is poured in rather than a squeezed tube, so easy to mix. I compare this to the usual one I purchase from a well know national car store which doesn't have enough resin. Will be heading to Toolstation for future purchases of this product
Almost all the bits you need to do the job! I was really impressed at first with getting all the various bits and pieces to make a fibreglass repair… with a couple of exemptions. The instructions advise to mix in a ratio of 3:100. The resin was in a tin holding 238ml I think and the hardener in a small bottle of perhaps 20 - 50ml. The plastic mixing pot had no graduations on it and the wasn’t even a little medicine spoon or similar to measure 3ml of the hardener. So BigBoy fell at the last fence…! It was a little disappointing as I had to scrabble to find some way to measure the ingredients, it would have been a perfect experience otherwise. The repair seemed to go off, so my proportions seem to be right… i will have to replace our measuring jug and spoon though… before I’m found out!
The kit could do with a means of measuring the amount of hardner
Everything you need, right down to plastic gloves!
Handy little kit but could do with extra stirrer and brush
Excellent used two to fix fibre glass pond. So far so good. Easy to use. Comes with. Fibreglass. Resin and activator.pot to mix in and a stirrer and brush to apply. Also gloves. Everything in the box that you need and a great price.
Brilliant, worked exactly as required on a fibreglass roof. Once painted over, repair isn’t noticeable. DIYer here, go for it!
I actually used the repair kit on my mobility scooter a couple of repairs were need and this little kit was brilliant.
You get a lot for the cost. It was so easy to use and covered more area than I first thought. Very good product.
Good quality product and exactly what I needed! Is more than enough as quantity!
