I bought this to test my first soldering and it was simple to use and gave me piece of mind that I wouldn't be seeing leaks once I connected my pipe work to the mains supply.
Schrader valve leaking even when tightened. Had to return kit.
It's great for the price but the 15mm push fit connector occasionally leaks which can look like a plumbing fault that doesn't actually exist.
Works perfectly, great to be able to dry test plumbing before charging with water.
Would recommend anyone who works on domestic plumbing, saves a lot of mess.
Very easy to use. Connect to a radiator connection and add pressure. I also like to use a soapy water solution to see if any air is escaping.
Came out the box leaking.
Had to remake the 1/8 threaded part.
Item was assembled without seal/hemp. Kind of useless when it leaks while you are testing pressure…
Simple fix, but yeah
Straight from handover you may notice the tool packed into shelf packaging and the badly kinked hose. Anyway, out of the box and directly connected to a fully sealed (hydraulically tested to 8bar) stop end at 3 bar and then 4 bar this kit leaked…..
first of all the leak was from the gauge to the Tee. Fixed.
Then then tee to the flexi. Fixed.
Then the speed fit end of the flexi……
At this point I gave up, visited a local plumbers and purchased a Rothenberger variant for a few more quid.
Avoid. I should have read the reviews which would have saved me several trips and a lot of lost time.
I bought this to test my pipework as the walls are being tiled in a couple of days and the pump wont be installed yet so no way of knowing if everything is leak free.
However the pressure tester wasnt air tight. It was showing huge drops when i fitted a cap off the the end of the flexi pipe.
I had to take the metal threaded sections apart and fit Ptfe tape to make it work properly.
Not what you expect from a new tool.
Did a great job coupling this to a large and long cast iron rad with some spare valves, following a small leak from a coupling between two sections. Good value for money.
What a great idea and so simple to use. It is a shame that the flexible hose connection to the tee piece is not air tight! fortunately I found this out while pressurising the system, a couple of turns of PTFE and it now works perfectly.
I found it extremely useful for testing the install of a fancy designer rad. However it is VERY important to be mindful of the amount of energy that voulme of air at even a couple of bar contains. (Not the same with water). For instance, a failing push fit stop end could fire off like a bullet and cause serious injury. Keep everyone clear, use no more pressure than absolutely necessary and release ALL the pressure before disconnecting!
No leaks out of the box. Worked well. Would rcommend
Good tool at a great price, in stock when needed, ticks all rhe boxes.
Works well but as per previous reviews leak was found where pipe joins Tee-piece, liquid sealant had been used but not good enough or incorrectly applied. Rectified with PTFE tape. Would suggest different packaging as flexi pipe was kinked in carton.
Bought this to pressure test a central heating system and it does the job well, same thing as other branded versions but half the price just good would recommend.
I tried to write a truthful review but that didn't work so here goes the second try.. this is a cheaper product than "the" other competitors so it leaks alot! A bit of ptfe and it's as good as the one sold at the competitor for 1/3 of the price..
all good does what it should do fit for purpose.
Bought this item to test new plumbing and radiators before adding to system. Did find a small leak...but all good in the end
Fairly easy to use and worth the money. I needed it to pressure test the pipes I had done and it was ideal
