Reasonable Dosh for a time saving nut fastener for awkward sinks
Perfect fit for the taps under the sink. Made the job a lot easier
Excellent box spanner. Easy in a confined space behind a sink bowl.
Cheaply made. Had to file burrs off around inside the socket so it would fit on the tap nut.
A handy piece of kit for confined spaces and very cost effective, worked well installing a bottom entry fill valve in a crampped space. Low cost so why not add it to the tool collection
We used the tool the day we bought it and it was a godsend
Amazing helpful staff and really competitive prices.
this spanner is just the job in a tight space, good quality heavy guage piece of kit, highly reccommend.
Great tool alrhough doesnt have the cross bar included. However did the trick with just hand tightening
The spanner is in metric, which seems odd for an imperial sized nut (1" A/F in my case). Had a particularly difficult nut to remove (corroded on). This spanner started slipping round the nut, and I had to buy a 26mm deep socket. Although, I admit, this was (hopefully) a one-off situation.
Just what i needed for taps, product seems well made
Good tool but too small for my tap nut which is 40mm
My task was to remove a bath mixer cartridge which turned into a classic example of why plumbing is such a pain. To start with this items description doesn’t relate to the size of the item. I would imagine it means something if you are a plumber but a general diyer will take a more simple approach like measuring the nut and finding a spanner to fit it. For your info the smaller size is 27mm (1/2”??) and the larger size is 32mm (3/4”??). Leading on from this, although not a criticism of this item directly, you may then find the nut you are trying to get off is slightly bigger, as at some point plumbing parts manufacturers decided to slightly alter the nut size just to add in an extra challenge! This was the case for me and I ended up adapting the larger size of this spanner to fit the nut. I think some other reviews have mentioned filing down the nut to fit.
It is not useful for my purpose. It is smaller than what I wanted and toolstation didn't find bigger size than that. So I returned it.
I ordered the wrong size which I realised when I went to my local store with 'Click & Collect'. The person reassured me I could have a refund, which I did! Thank you.
Excellent tool , made the job so easy , useful bit of kit .
Does the job. It’s a box spanner. Not much more can be said.
Fits base of tap holding nut as should, with awkward small space used able to achieve good grip to tighten nut solid.
Well made and makes removal and installation of tap back nuts a breeze. I used it on plastic and metal nuts and it fitted well.
Purchased this to replace some taps the were very difficult to access. It seems a bit oversized compared to the 1/2” backnuts I was removing and fitting but it did the job ok so I am happy with my purchase.
