I got a duffer with pin 4 being open circuit between the termination and the front pin. The replacement worked ok
Fairly easy to wire. Would be a easier if it came with a plastic insertion tool.

Rubbish - it doesn't work - very poorly made. Connectors 1 and 2 of the punchdown strip have no continuity to pins 1 and 2 of the RJ45 socket. I attempted to resolder but no joy. 2 other reviews also noted the exact same issues so this is not an isolated problem. Caused me much lost time and effort. I do NOT recommend this product. I am a very experienced network engineer and this product has to be one of the worst I have had the misfortune to encounter. Even the front plate plastic is poor.
Pin 7 and Pin 2 on the punch down socket board had corrosion. No polarity when tested with a multimeter. Resolved this by resolder the pins effected.
Pin 1 did not work on one had to dismantle and solder the joints poorly made.
very easy to use, just the job for what I needed. the colour coding system was a very good layout with no problems to understand and everything went well.

Needed to move my router some distance from my ISP modem by feeding a cable under the floor to connect to this outlet. Worked out okay in the end but had to Google the wiring instructions as not supplied with the item. You'll also need a deep backing box, and a punch-down tool for the final ethernet cable connections.
Good item, does the job well made easy to connect.
Does what's required and is easy to install, I can't fault it.
