Had to return this. I needed a replacement for a light that runs along the length of a joist in my garage. Despite being called a batten light it has no knock-outs on the sides, just one opening on the top have, meaning it cannot be attached to a joist lengthwise without compromising the joist. Maybe I've misunderstood what 'batten' light means? The one I was given had previously been opened, so I wonder if it had previously been returned for the same reason - no wonder they're on a big discount.

This batten light replaced an old strip light that was 30+ years old. The new fitting weighs much less than the old one and delivers more light while consuming only 20W. Wiring is really simple, and the two ceiling attachment points are adjustable and easy to use.

It was easy to fit, easy to wire, looks good in a garage setting, has a good lighting level especially for its declared wattage, so overall it's excellent. Just one slight improvement they could make: the instructions simply showed opening the unit on its hinge, but a little diagram showing the push button at either end would have been very helpful. I nearly broke it until I realised. (The clips themselves are fine.)

i always thought bigger was better and was disappointed when I took this tiny light out of this giant box, but this skinny little batten light is just as powerful if not more powerful thank the led battens in my main workshop it was bought as a light for a small 3mx3m out building and more than lights up the space i would highly recommend it and as for its weight it is around as light as an old fluorescent batten bulb h

Not as bright as I was expecting but still a good light
Brought this light around two years ago for a loft installation. The light has probably been on a dozen times in the period. It now keeps flickering on and off. All connections have been checked suspect faulty led driver.
Light in weight and fairly easy to fit. Realised later I could have got it a tenner cheaper on another site.
