Followed the instructions to the letter, simply does not work. As well as being out of pocket by £28, I also have to repair the damage to my bathroom floor as well as my lounge ceiling. Product is a joke, i do not recommend. 😡
Can advised a duration of 3 minutes but that is as long as the can lasts anyway so no need to time.
Pipe stays frozen for about 35 minutes therefore you need everything ready and to hand.
The propriety muff can be used repeatedly.
Purchased small can to freeze 15mm copper pipe under sink (mains fed) I do have experience in using these kits successfully. On this occasion the kit failed, I did complete the task on a live line.

This can failed to freeze. Previous can worked well, therefore I have to say it’s not a reliable method of freezing.
Have used the 4 times at different phases of the same project. First 2 were fine, third didn't work at all, fourth only held for a few minutes. I would advise great care when using, and have a spare cylinder on hand.
An excellent product to freeze a pipe to enable a radiator to be moved or the radiator valve to be changed. Once the pipe is frozen there is sufficient time to do the work required. In my experience the ice plug on a 15mm copper pipe remains for at least 20 minutes and might last as long as 30 minutes.
Expensive for 1 off use though it did the job on this occasion
Used twice before does the job need to be organised before you start work but saves draining down
I've used this product twice (I'm not a plumber) and it worked perfectly on central heating pipes (with the heating system turned off). I had compression valves ready to go on the pipe which I cut and there was plenty of time to complete the process. I wouldn't know if it would work on a pipe with running water.
Brilliant product, answered the problem of not having to drain down heating system to replace hall radiator, bit expensive but on reflection, worth it!
I purchased a couple of cans of pipe freezer spray to allow me to fit flow and return isolator valves to part of my central heating system. I’ve used this spray on several occasions and had no problems at all, if you follow the instructions. It saved me from having to drain down a lot more. I only used one can per 15mm pipe. I’ve used it both on copper and plastic pipe systems. Would recommend.
Followed instructions to the letter when changing radiator trv. Failed to seal, money wasted. Went back to rubber plugs in header tank.
Very useful product, saves time when you’re working on a central heating system and you don’t want to have to drain down the system.
Did the job when installing a new heated towel rail.
Good for quick fix plumbing without draining system.
Bought to replace the one I used to replace a stoptap when unable to locate an external one. Works great on copper pipes thankfully.
Followed the instructions and got a good freeze to disconnect an old tap and get an isolation valve installed
A great product, had to change the main stop tap. This did the job.
Excellent product worked very well. First time used very impressive.
