The wire wool a practical item to use for rust etc
I haven't tried using it to clean with but it feels more fine that the stuff for cleaning. However, I bought it for stuffing mouse holes and it's nice and plyable, fits in the small gaps and has blocked the mice. It's also easy to unroll and cut with scisors.

Used this to clean old finish off victorian furmture. Quick and easy leaving a fine surface for refinishing. Plenty left for the next job.
Whllst the outside of this product looked as advertised in the catalogue as medium grade once I started pulling strands off it it was a mix of all grades some of which were so densely packed as to be unusable.

Bought to fill holes where mice were getting in. So far it has worked very well. You get a lot for a great price.
Bought for a friend having problems with mice. Told her to stuff it into/down every nook and cranny... it worked for me. Better then having poisons laid down.

Wow in today’s crazy prices of stufF what a surprise this is for just over a £5 you get a big heavy roll of wire wool did a great job on my pine table sanding the legs and in-between coats of wax and varnish

Good medium grade steel wool, not too rough on the surface, great to bring out a good polished finish or prepare for smooth mirror finish. Plenty of steel wool in the packet to complete jobs with some to spare. Would buy again.
