Physically very small smoke pellets. light really easily, need to use fairly quickly but work to produce orange smoke you can see on a cloudy day. Put the lit pellet in an old tin can and held in the fireplace.
recently repaired the seal around my wood burner door and needed to test the efficiency of the adhesive and my work. Excellent results using these smoke pellets, 40 second burn generated more than enough smoke to do the job required.
As expected, gave off good thick smoke for a decent period of time. I tested a drain with it and could see it coming out from 3 neighbours soil vent pipes.
The smoke pellets are straightforward to use, and produce a vivid orange smoke. They are better for smaller scale ducting or devices, lack of available local stock of the larger pellets meant I selected these to test a chimney stack, used two and the smoke was visible but with the caveat.
Worked really well when used in a drain to find where smells were escaping into a property
This is a great product, easy to use and sold by Toolstation at a good price
very easy to use ,the instructions where easy to follow, one pellet was enough to test chimney
The Smoke Pellets did an excellent job of demonstrating that the smoke dampers were effective in preventing the migration of smoke from one floor to the next. They were good value for money.
Rally good, enough smoke so we could see how good the draft is on the chimney. And to be honest it was good
OMG! What can I say? These smoke pellets are amazing. Encased in a red jacket, these little devils are a delight to behold. A creamy coloured top shows the combustible surface - the juxtaposition of colours puts me in mind of a classic 1940s Mercedes invoking mental images of the Italian Alps, Bridget Bardo and gelato in a cone. Once released from their classically proportioned tub, each pellet is an individual with the inherent potential to produce smoke like Grandad on the back seat of the bus. Once alight the smoke is consistent allowing a good visual indication of airflow patterns which was my intent. To produce a volume of smoke, I lit one pellet and placed it in a fine porcelain bowl next to four of its companions, all of which spontaneously combusted. What was left was a collection of red carcasses and some black worms of some indeterminate nature, looking like the worst breakfast cereal you could imagine.
All in all, creating smoke with these pellets is a joy not to be missed.
These smoke pellets are quite tricky to light but once they have been lit they give out enough white smoke for about 40 seconds.
Lots of smoke! could see if wind was actually blowing through into the house from outside
Good product. does what is says. I used in first instance to find leak in blow-up matress.
Bought these for testing flue after sealing flue. Excellent. Be careful they do leave a stain in chimney if they fall over . It does state that on packaging .
Would have liked a longer shelf life as these only had 3months on the pkt .
We’re good but didn’t last very long, also would benefit if they came with a holder
Really good product. Does job it is supposed to do. Just light them, shut the stove door and check for leaks inside and out.
Orange smoke, easy to see any leaks or not in stove after replacing seals.
These pellets work well, providing harmless smoke for test flues and chimneys
I’d never used them before but was very pleased with them and have no hesitation in recommending them
Did the job really well and left less residue than other brands
Smelly smoke and plenty of it, easy to light.
Put it on an old tin can
