If it works It should be good. It was no quicker to setup than the original that came with the rad
The towel rail in the bathroom has always been a problem with the top rail going cold. After bleeding it several times I decided to fit an Aladdin auto air vent. This has cured the problem, now the top rail is always hot.
These vents do work, but I have had failure in the past. If you fit to an empty isolated raiator then open isolation valves, the water will rise to the top of the radiator and slam the auto vent shut, causing it to jam in the shut position and malfunction. The best practice is to manually vent your radiator before fitting the auto vent, then isolate the radiator by shutting the isolating valves before fitting the auto vent. It should then function correctly.
Worked fine for the first couple years but has now failed and needs replacing, seems to be a common problem. Going to roll back to a manual air vent which works out far cheaper and longer lasting.
So straightforward to fit and seems to do the trick. Why didn't I do this earlier? Radiator where air collected and was therefore a little noisy sorted.
Well made direct replacement for key type bleed valve. Easy to fit and works brilliantly. Wish I had known about these years ago.
Install this on 3 story house as top Radiator constant need bleeding Well, it’s okay, but initially you had to undo vent vent
Waste of my time and money. More air in radiator with these fitted than without. Going straight back for a refund.
great product I no longer have to bleed towel rail monthly
Haven't used before read reviews seems to work OK, rather expensive for what it is
Excellent quality and very neat finish.
Makes you wonder how you managed without it.
This is the second auto air vent we’ve purchased from Toolstation. Both vents have eliminated air in our towel radiators, so job done. Highly recommended.
Good product to fit, but not on every radiator. Perhaps one on each floor of a property and at the end of a run of radiators. Also could be used where access is difficult.
Easy to fit, no mess. release pressure with manual valve after closing both taps at bottom of radiator otherwise you can get a spray of water when removing blank to fit auto valve. Leave manual valve in place and fit auto in opposite side incase the auto ever fails.
Replaced the existing leaking manual air vent with this excellent fitting
Used to replace a cracked standard rad vent. Easy to fit and smart looking.
Great gadget. I was having to bleed a tall vertical radiator at least weekly but now IO don't have to
Quick and easy to install and vent’s system efficiently
Only just fitted to problem radiator that needs bleeding on regular basis. But fitted to opposite side to manual bleed screw just in case it fails, that way still able to bleed if it fails. But working perfectly at moment.
