Please note that the ei3014 heat alarm carries a 10 warranty therefore I would suggest you print off the receipt and retain it for that period
As this was a replacement from an older Aico heat alarm that had the round base the manufacture confirmed that it a case of sliding the old heat alarm of the old round base and sliding the new heat alarm onto the old base. You cannot get any easier than that and certainly not having to wire the new one in as the wiring was already in place on the old base.
Bought this to replace a similar alarm that was over ten years old. Simple to fit. The included base plate was binned
Easy to fit with space for cables (unlike many budget ones, or those with a plug-in flying lead ).
This unit was purchased to replace a discontinued system. This is a well thought out product it is a mains operated with internal sealed rechargeable battery backup (no need to replace the battery every year) and wired inter linked. This is the type of unit I need for my HMO. Fixing is easy because their are many fixing holes blanked off with a thin layer of foam. When wired up their is a protective cover. To connect the unit to its base just slide it into position and the wiring connects automatically and the Battery is also activated at the same time. To remove requires a flat blade screw driver to release the catch. The test button has a proper switch.
