Only given 1 star as couldn’t pick 0. Near impossible to set up accurately and the bar spinning around makes it a challenge to use safely. Tried 10s of practice cuts but still didn’t do what I had hoped it would.
Bought this to make a 240mm hole in a plasterboard ceiling. It just digs into the plasterboard and the drill kicks. Quite dangerous. Ended up using an oscillating saw.
I know this is an affordable product and I was able to do what I needed with it but it is very dangerous to use. I'm surprised you are allowed to sell it!!
Cheap option but not the best option. Needed to cut a large cut out for a light. But proper holesaw bit was very expensive. This did the trick with a littler perseverance
Good tool did what supposed to.Use a little caution when starting to drill hole.
Found it worked better having the drill in reverse did what I needed to do but please practice first
Poor and quite dangerous. Jumps out the wood, the blade bent and caught my hand a couple of times. Ended up in the bin
It did the job, but it was hard work getting and maintaining the position of a handheld drill. It comes without any instructions, so unless you know how to set it up correctly it is probably not for you. I searched online for general instructions, even the manufacturer's website does have instructions!
Used for cutting hole for extractor in ceiling with no problems.
Fairly easy to set up but quite difficult to use with it potentially flying off if you don't get a pilot hole secured and press down. On one of the cuts we ended up with very rough edges.
Useless, money throw out the window. I had to do the cut with the multitool
Did the job, but it is a bit savage, you need to be careful with it if cutting plastic. Found that the adjustment to a size wasn't clear. Wouldn't recommend it.
Absolute Garbage - Blunt and Not accurate. Possibly suitable for cardboards but certainly not suitable for 7mm MDF, 5mm Perspex & Plywood. What a waste of time and money.
- or weak wristed. Did the job (210mm holes in plywood & plasterboard) but was best to finish off with a jigsaw or rotary file as tool digs in so much.
I was looking at making a base for a model airplane and found that this would be ideal. So I download the app as there were many more items on the Tool Station app that caught my attention.
The Tool Station app was very easy and helpful to use.
I placed an order for click and collect, the ready for collection email came through very quickly so I popped straight down to my local Tool Station and was greeted by a very pleasant chap and my order was handed quickly handed to me.
The whole process from finding what I was looking for, placing the order, communication, collection and service was fantastic. Not too mention a great price.
The whole experience was extremely efficient and I will use again.
Perfect for plasterboard spotlight holes……………………..
Felt this was well made for the price and beats make a large hole cutter with a pice of wood and a couple of screws. Does require a bit of caution and strength when using your cordless drill but I did two 100mm holes in ply and one in the ceiling. No sign of unit failing or breaking so good for next time.
This tool did a job well. Cutting a 150mm starter hole through an internal door, from both sides. Neat cut but needed to work out that each cutter is set slightly offset to create space for the rest of the blade. Finished the hole with a jig-saw using the cut from the tool but the cutter gave neat clean edges for the jigsaw. Will use again and can recommend. Instructions for setting up and using would have been useful...
Does the job. Much bigger than expected so didn't fit in the drill press but that was easily sorted. Don't try to use this with a hand drill!
You need to take your time with this, fast drill setting letting the blades cut not forcing down. Easy to set up with no uneven cutting again double check distance, saved a lot of money.
