I bought this to seal the waste at the base of a belfast sink where the uneven opening at the base was 80mm but the waste width only 60mm. It performed as expected, supported by the supplied tightening nut etc (which came with the waste) I couldn't find this for sale anywhere else so it was great to find it not only available but also in stock !
a must if you have a older cistern this seal centralizes the outlet pipe perfect
Not suitable for job requirements so not used at all
Great if you need to convert to 2" for replacement & thats the hole in the cistern. Usually the flush valve comes with this, but I've had a few recently that didn't think it nay have been a problem at Fluidmaster. Last one I got had this so hopefully wont have to purchase again
Just what I needed to change from a 2” flush valve to a 1.5”.
It worked perfectly and importantly a really good seal
Make Re-fitting of syphon assembly a lot cleaner without the need for plumbers mate.
Ideal for older toilet cisterns, tried the universal ones but wouldn't seal, this was perfect and only Toolstation sold them.
The sizes quoted are incorrect , this item is oversize and consequently it will not fit the cistern.
Good quality but not needed in the end.item refunded easily
I always buy these. The one that come with the toilet are rubbish. This seals Evey time
Doughnut did not give a quality seal so hoping this would assist. It didn't as simply slipped through pan 😶
A very useful seal used to install a drain in a Belfast sink!
Fitted a new close couple kit as when fitted a new flush the old one had rusted. leaked badly. as thought the kits fitted all the toilets. fitted this adaptor no more leaks.
very hard to insert into the hole at the bottom of the system. But centralised the syphon and didn't leak.
Was having trouble getting a new 1½" Syphon Flush to seal at the base of the cistern. The flanges of the flush and nut were not wide enough for the 60mm hole in my cistern and water was leaking into the bowl. This slotted in perfectly and no more leaks.
I bought this to fit the flush hole in a cistern with the cone and ribbed side of the washer facing the hole but it didn't work. The cone was marginally too big for the hole but enough so that the washer did not sit tightly onto the cistern floor resulting in a leak although I didn't get as far as refilling the cistern with water because I anticipated a major leak. So it was no good for me but that doesn't mean to say that the product is not good in the right application.
Value for money, I am very happy with my purchase.
I've got a cistern with a hole that is just shy of 2 inches. Getting a 1.5 inch syphon to seal proved impossible as the stupid syphon designers have not made the surrounding lip wide enough (at one point only!). So this seemed a good solution. No it isn't. The inner centralising conical bit is wider that 2 inches so won't fit a 2 inch hole, let alone my not quite 2 inch one. What were you thinking designers!!! My final solution was to use a 1.5 inch flush valve which at least has a decent sized lip (crucially without a stupid narrow bit), so with care it is possible to centralise it in the 'not quite 2 inch' hole and get a good seal.
Worked well I used to stop stop the leaking coupled toilet
I had problems in sealing the cistern with an ordinary flat seal. This adapter seal worked a treat and no leaks
