There is no construction show quite like Hillhead. Held every two years in a working Derbyshire quarry near Buxton, this spectacular event brings together 600 exhibitors and nearly 20,000 visitors across three days of live demonstrations, heavy machinery, and cutting-edge construction technology on an epic scale.
Unlike any indoor exhibition, Hillhead lets you see massive plant and equipment operating in real quarrying conditions. Crushers, screeners, excavators, dump trucks, drilling rigs — they're all running live on the quarry floor. The sheer scale of the working demonstrations is breathtaking and impossible to replicate anywhere else.
Hillhead Quarry is located near Buxton, Derbyshire, accessible via the A515. Free on-site parking is provided, with shuttle buses running from car parks. The nearest railway station is Buxton (approximately 3 miles). This is a trade-only event — not open to the general public.
Tue 23 & Wed 24 June: 09:00–18:00 | Thu 25 June: 09:00–16:00. Registration is free.
There is nothing else like Hillhead in the UK. Massive machinery, live quarry demos, 600 exhibitors, and the Derbyshire countryside as your backdrop. If you work in construction, quarrying, or recycling — this is unmissable!
