DeWalt made headlines at World of Concrete 2026 with the debut of its PowerShift battery platform — a new high-energy system designed to replace petrol-powered concrete tools with cordless alternatives.
PowerShift 12" Cut-Off Saw
Billed as "the most powerful cordless cut-off saw in the industry," the DCPS612 tackles cuts up to 4-3/4 inches deep through concrete, rebar, and ductile iron. On a single PowerShift battery charge, it can slice up to eight linear feet of concrete at full depth or make up to 156 cuts in #5 rebar — all without the noise or fumes of petrol. Available autumn 2026.
PowerShift Demolition Hammer
The DCPS966 demolition hammer delivers up to 45 joules of impact energy, making it suitable for the most demanding demolition applications. It features SHOCKS Active Vibration Control technology to reduce user fatigue and improve productivity. Available spring 2026.
Autonomous Drilling Robot
In a glimpse of construction's future, DeWalt also revealed an autonomous drilling robot developed with August Robotics. The robot can drill holes in concrete floors up to 10 times faster than traditional methods with 99.97% accuracy — a potential game-changer for large commercial construction projects.
20V MAX XR Green Rotary Laser
Rounding out the announcements, the new 20V Max XR Green Rotary Laser (DCLE35121GE1) offers enhanced visibility for outdoor applications with a remote control upgrade for improved accuracy across large job sites.
