When put on top of Zinssner peel stop bubbles formed and needed scraping off. Is 123 actually required. Advised to “scrape off bubbled paint. Clean with meths, fill and reapply peel stop. No need for 123.”
Not as I had hoped, did not cover issues as described and very thin. Wouldn’t use again!
I used this on the inside of my log cabin to seal the wood before painting. The cabin is 17 years old and the wood inside had never been previously painted. Also the roof had leaked for the last few years but just been replaced so there were a lot of water stains and some dark patches on the wood. The paint worked great on the dark patches and water stains but needed about three coats to stop the tannins in the wood from bleeding through. I hadn’t expected this but read that it’s quite normal and to just apply more coats of paint/ sealer.
While no product is ever perfect, I can honestly say that I was pleased with how Zinsser Bulls Eye 123 Primer sealer paint in white covered everything.
I’m yet to try and see how it works on upvc but I’m sure it won’t let me down. It was definitely a good buy.
Product used to prime silk vinyl emulsion on ceiling that could not be rubbed down prior to painting with Matt vinyl emulsion. Applied to heavily textured artex ceiling so not easy (due to texturing) but covered well. Easy to clean up as water based product.
A brilliant product I use this all the time, it's never failed me yet . It covers really bad stains after 2/3 coats
Excellent paint ,
I use this as a primer and undercoat,
Usually needs a couple of coats then leave a couple of weeks before top coat,
Needs minimal preparation to the wood ,
I have purchased this paint to cover my varnished interior door. I have sanded the door use satin wood paint to coat, still showing the varnish , purchased this pint hoping it will cover the varnish, I painted 3 times, and then painted the satin wood paint for finishing.
This paint is not as described on the tin, or maybe I am doing something wrong.
Does what it says on the tin saved hours of messty sanding
Provided a good undercoat base on very porous concrete bricks in the garage before applying masonry paint.
Very good,it covered grey paint very well..was good surprise that this one doesnt have a smell (the wallpaper cover one has strong smell)..overall this paint is amazing i recommend 100%
Used as a primer on my bathroom ceiling to help prevent mould and mildew. Very happy with the results.
Primer was spot on, dealt with my poor quality walls
Wish I knew about this before I applied paint and it all peeled off!
Very impressed with this product, used as a primer to cover up previous yellowing paint and as a sealer on gloss emulsion before recovering with Matt emulsion
Used this to prime and undercoat some old fencing that's had all types of fence treatment applied over the last 10 years. Covered it easily.
Excellent product for covering surfaces without rubbing down
May require 2 coats for varnished surfaces
Used before. Brilliant paint. Dries quickly so several coats can be applied in a few hours.
I am impressed with this product having used in the past. So much so that I bought some to take to my son in France (and also bought an additional can for me).
Used in France to paint lots of woodwork as a primer/undercoat. I also showed my son how well it would coat over dark colours and on metal and plastics, but left it for him to finish those jobs when he has the time.
Brilliant stuff certainly does the job that it is supposed to do
This paint is brilliant. Used it on a newly plastered ceiling and sealed it brilliantly. Great coverage and great to use plus provides a brilliant finishes well worth the money.
Hopefully it does what it says on the tin, stain block and primes and undercoats for our finish cost(s). But not the best on MDF edges.
