A great simple to install or change product, just throw away the enclosed wood screws as the heads usually round off and the thread is crap for starting them ,or drill small pilot holes and use the original screws, to secure the body, for the reciever the screws re to small i always use 1 3/4 no 8 screws x 3 for a more secure fixing, a spot of oil on te keys also helps them go in easier, the lock is workmanlike in construction with few parts to go wrong always use with a mortice deadlock on glazed or semi glazed doors for security
Tried and trusted brand of locks. Been going for absolute tears and still one of the best in the market. I bought it to replace a budget brand and it fits perfectly using the same screw holes. Solid made and it feels like a well made night latch
Great as a direct replacement for an existing lock. Only 2 problems - take great care when cutting the fixing bolts, as it's easy to get cross threaded. And, make sure you have some suitable shims to align the striker plate - this one is hollow, so smaller shims (which might have worked with the old lock because the striker was solid) won't engage properly with the striker.

Amazingly this was EXACTLY the same as the Yale lock on my Neighbours front door which hadn't been opened for 20 years and he'd lost the keys!!
