It seemed straightforward to install a few screws and ensuring the top and bottom latches hooked on correctly, allowed me to replace the broken one.
It shouldn’t cost as much as it did but had no choice. Cheaper only by £10 if you can wait.
Considering this is a genuine yale product was very notchy when turning the key, would have taken it back but was fitting it for a customer. Haven’t heard anything so may have loosened up.
Perfect fit, really simple to swap out for the old one. Just had to remove about 9 screws to get the whole mechanism out then 3 screws to swap out this part. Which are certain length so just make sure you put make in same order or it may prevent the mechanism from moving.

Perfect Fit! My old gearbox had the code 'C280F' band the new Yale gearbox had the code 'C831F' but it was an identical replacement and works perfectly.

Bought to replace broken latch in uPVC door... fitted well and is very smooth in operation... Only issue is you’ll need to tap an M4 thread to be able to fix mechanism on as others have highlighted... Newer version on site might not have this issue, check or have taps to hand before buying...
