The old one only lasted 5 years, hope this goes a bit longer. If they fail you get locked out! Fits many uPVC doors but be very careful to get the right one. Also shop around on this item...
The gearbox had no lubricant in the mechanism at all and was galling. An application of grease sorted it out, but did not expect to have to do that with a Yale product. Make sure you buy some grease at the same time!
Straightforward replacement for worn out original gear box. Only took about 15 minutes to fit, but I had removed the old one twice already, once to check the problem (worn pawl to move lever) and once to double check measurements when I found the replacement
- those times took slightly longer but gave me confidence to do the job myself. Part arrived next day in store and I fitted it straight away. Perfect match and worth four stars, with the fifth held back as I have no long term experience of how it will perform, but initial results are good. This is easily within the scope of a confident diyer, so being able to buy a good replacement from tool station is certainly going to save you money over paying a locksmith.

Perfect for my lockmaster door lock gearbox replacement. Pays to make sure of the i.d. of original lock before placing order as at first I ordered wrong one. But, Toolstation Uxbridge being the good folk they are, let me swap for correct one. Totally happy with price & purchase & savings from not having to callout a locksmith. 👍

A perfect fit to replace the worn our old gearbox.
I needed a new lock as the original one would not let me open the door, the locking bit worked but it would not withdraw the latch to open the door. I replaced it with this one and in the process found a little pin had broken off which must be what the key mechanism moves. All sorted out now and my front door works fine.
Compact and well made, a very sturdy piece of equipment that I am confident will last.
Not sure it was a Yale original part to be honest. Seems to fit and work ok. No email or txt to let me know the part was ready to pick up, so I just went at 1.30pm. It was there, maybe it was there at 8pm
I bought this as a direct replacement for my front door, it is much better quality then the lne it replaced and hopefully will last longer.
