Goes on well, soaks in on new wood. Gives a good smooth finish even with a brush. It is not too gloopy so easy to apply.

Used this on a tired kitchen wood laminate floor, it improved the texture, look and durability of the floor so much that I did not need to renew it. Very pleased

I bought the varnish to take to France for my son as he is finishing off his house to put on the market.
I got the job of varnishing some previously painted wood panelling. The results were great when freshly applied however my son was dubious at how it would look once it had dried. He need not have worried because it looked just as good when dry. So much so, I was glad that I purchased the larger can as he then asked me to varnish cupboards, window cills and shelves. So much for a week's holiday.
The only downside was the smell that was quite strong and lasted a significant amount of time, which meant leaving doors and windows open overnight ... a good job that his home is in a rural location and that my sense of smell is poor!
Slightly on the thick side, quite good drying time

Superb product goes a long way when applied by brush. If you are applying to brand new wood ensure it is sanded to give the varnish a key to adhere to I would definitely recommend applying 2 coats minimum for full protection. I found even a light sanding between coats as well, as for the finish I'm super impressed and has made my summerhouse not only waterproof but aesthetically it looks awesome in the gloss. Highly recommended
