Not recommended... as the flaps never close fully which makes the room totally cold, even by adding a second spring, it never works as it should.
Xpelair simply extractor fan…Sucks like a Pro! Could be more slimline to the ceiling/wall
Not silent at all :(, this failed to operate within the sound parameters advertised
Having moved to a new home 7 years ago, we had the same model of this Extractor Fan fitted in the bathroom & kitchen. They were worked extremely well and the one in the kitchen is STILL running! A little under 2 years ago the one in the bathroom starting failing and become very noisy. We therefore replaced it (under warranty) with the same model, but that failed in a very similar manner nearly a year later. We therefore replaced that one (under warranty) with the same model, and since installation it is working well. Under the circumstances I cannot recommend this fan.
second one of these that we have fitted. both have destroyed themselves, with the impeller falling off of both.
Rubbish fan, very loud, replaced twice in 4 week the fan came loose both times, in the end changed to a different manufacturer
Excellent quality fan and very easy to fit with good instructions.
I bought this fan yesterday, and fitted it. I had a 100mm one, already fitted, that I found irritating and a bit noisy. I’ve a large ish bathroom, so I thought I’d go for one of these simply silent things. I have a 100mm one in an en suite, and that is really good. This 150mm one is extremely noisy. You can hear it with the bathroom door shut on the floor below. I’ve isolated it, and I’m going to swap it tomorrow. I would swap it today, but I’d like to show someone else how rubbish it is before I remove it.
Reliable manufacturer and well known name. Fan was easy to fit but those back draft shutters are always a bit flimsy and can drop out....whoops, where did that spring go?
Made very nice, easy to fit, two speed so powerful, extraction.
Stopped working after 3months ,waste of money as i have to pay for another electrician to replace it for me
Not as quiet as would be led to believe by packaging,ok fan otherwise
Very smart unit&works well.
Bought it to replace noisy (to me) kitchen fan - couldn't believe it was actually much noisier! No way should it be called "Simply Silent"! Also cover very difficult to get on and off which one will need to do for cleaning. Will be returning item!
Terrible quality and design. As a professional I install lots of fans and thought I’d try this has have good appearance. Falls apart and plastic easily breaks including PCB and back draft. Lid difficult to clip on and get off. DOA when tested . Disappointed
Flimsy build quality. Draught flaps simply don't work so constant chill from outside. Circuit board fell off in my hand. As for silent. Sounds like a generator running in my kitchen. Foolishly thought pay a bit more and product would be better. I was wrong. Avoid.
Great fan, really powerful. Not silent at all even on lowest setting, but wasn't expecting it to be for a 150mm fan!
Quality brand? Silent? NO! Near top of the range silent, defiantly not! I know moving air creates noise I can live with that however fitted 2x units in solid brick and plasterboard walls BOTH resonate throughout the house! VERY annoying!
Seriously don't bother. The noisiest cheapest made 6" extractor I've ever come across. Should be reported under trade descriptions act!
