this looks great and works really well as an extractor, but when the bulb failed after two years I was informed that you can’t just replace the bulb - you have to buy the whole head which costs around half the price of the unit!
Noisier than my previous fan. Fittings should be more robust. Instructions could be clearer.
Don't be fooled by the word "Silent" in the product name. This fan is far from silent. It claims to be 29dBa, but I measured it at 45dBa. It is a high pitched whine that would keep the whole house awake at night. I found this to be unacceptably noisy and returned it for a refund.
Excellent service quick delivery
I’ve had two. After two months, the first developed an internal rattle when in operation. Replaced it with a second. Two months in and exactly the same problem. Very noisy.
Exactly what I need for the for the new shower room being built
I brought this fan a few days ago and haven't got it into full use yet as its part of a building project but having tested it all seems fine. The fan has 'back draft' flaps fitted which means it needs extra clearance, these have caused a small problem with the planned fitting location which a friend of mine is also experiencing with a similar model from Xpelair. The flaps can be removed but you would probably need a separate back draft shutter and replace the external grille supplied if you want back draft control (as advised by Xpelair technical department). Time will tell but in general it does seem a good quality product just needed a better description.
A very good item at a good price. A nice thing to look at as well as being practible
