Bought to replace a burnt out MCB on our shower circuit. Although the design was slightly different to the old one, it fitted into the consumer unit without problems. The clamps for the busbar and the live feeder cable have been improved as well. Good value, recommended.
Works perfectly, this is the correct part i needed for my unit plug and play be careful when working with electrics my old one was burnt out

Wylex MCB 32A to allow a kitchen update, found on Toolstation, where else!
This review is a follow-up to my recent review of the MK 45A DP upright isolator that I fitted as a replacement for a heat-damaged unbranded type.
The reason for buying this Wylex MCB was because the idiot who had installed the shower originally, hadn't bothered to include any over-current protection whatsoever! The shower isolator was fed directly from the DP switch disconnector of a Wylex all-insulated 2-way consumer unit, connected via service connectors to the meter tails! The only over-current 'protection' present was the 60A service fuse!
To make matters even worse, a 2.5mm T&E cable was also connected in parallel with the 6.0mm shower cable, the cpc of which was loose in the earth bar! How a fire hadn't occurred is beyond me!
Fortunately, the MCB fiited fine but I still had to buy a suitable busbar (from Toolstation) as the original too, was missing!
I've used Wylex accessories all of my life and with very few exceptions, have found them to be totally reliable pieces of kit. This particular example represents great value-for-money from Toolstation.
Bought to replace a failed MCB. Slightly different design to the original, but the new one slotted in quite easily and is working well. Good value.
