Bought to replace ancient failed one. IT is a little longerthan the original, but works just as well.
The supplied item was not as described on the website. I wanted to replace a broken restrictor arm with an identical one. The product sold by Toolstation is a different construction from the web photograph and is not 254mm. It did the job but required some modification to my window frame.

Little bit of messing to use on a door to stop it swinging to far on opening but does the job perfectly. Recessed into frame and top of door to make it completely unobtrusive and minimising clearance at the top of door and frame
Although this is intended for a window, I used it to restrict the opening of an integrated fridge-freezer door, and it works well for that purpose (we have used Blum plastic hinge restrictor clips to restrict cupboard doors, but didn't think they would be tough enough for a weighty fridge door, and this item seems stronger). It makes for a neat solution as it is completely hidden when closed.
The item is reasonably well made. It's all metal apart from the sliding part, which is black plastic. There are two brass grub screws which can be tightened to add some resistance, although I removed them completely as I only wanted to restrict the opening angle. It needs some experimentation (or trigonometry) to find the right position to mount this in, but it works well when you get it positioned correctly.

Super cheap and readily available. The fitting was fairly easy. The two screws that apply friction are very sensitive and if you tighten them up too much the screws used to fit the restrictor are prone to get pulled out over time.
Good value for money compared to others on the market. No instructions so a little trial and error to find optimum position on door and frame. Friction pad seems to work well but don't know how long before it would need retightening on a busy used back door.
Required to install on first floor bedrooms in a care home environment. Easy to install, perfect for upvc windows!

I used this on a PVC door. It does restrict well but the metal is thin and the part that slides is made of plastic. Does the job of restricting the door from opening too far but the resistance on the screws appears to go from very firm to very weak without much alteration.
Good restrictors for narrow doors or windows. Not strong enough for bigger doors. Screws not included.

Fitted these to my French doors and they work very well . I required them to hold the doors in place when they were opened and they did exactly that…. They do not come with screws so remember this when ordering .
