£3, cant really argue with that. Electrician messed up lights in our bathroom, they broke the white exterior fitting spring that keeps it in place and rather than gongrt a new one they tried to glue it in place. It fell out a week later revealing their sloppy work. Simple enough replacement i should be able to do myself.
Out of a batch of seven lights two were tripping RCD. Returned and purchased another six of which two had the same problem. I now have no confidence in install and lost half a day fault finding the problem assuming it was installation fault, which i could not charge the customer for as i supplied the light fittings. This gives them a failure rate of around 1 in 4 which is absolutely shocking. Was unable to find the cause due to voiding any warranty if explored further. I dont blame Toolstation but a some feedback on this from supplier would be nice.
There are two bumps punched in the metal each side to hold the bulb in place, but these can make the bulb difficult to insert. If the bulb was plastic, I'm sure they would deform enough, however the GU10 bulbs from Ikea are glass, and there is no way to insert them without risk of shattering the glass. So for these I had to file back the bumps a fair bit to be able to insert the bulbs. This was the same for all four that I fitted. Otherwise they are pretty good, the push fit connector is simple to use and has enough capacity to continue the ring.
Ok, but not the easiest to remove the bezel. Changing where the spring sits is also a challenge. They are cheap, so you get what you pay for. Look alright up.
Cheap price good built quality easy to fit with the push fit connectors . Good sized body and bezel to cover the exiting hole. Would highly recommend
Simple to install and fit bulb but the wiring connection could be made a lot easier.
Good quality light fittings, perfect flush finish to the ceiling and decent springs
Poor, bought 10 and 1 just didn’t work and 2 caused rcd to trip with no lamp fitted?Had fitted all 10 but removed them all as I couldn’t trust them and returned to Toolstation. Replaced with 72088 and all good.
Good quality for the price, the flying connection box is perfect for jobs with a little less headroom.
Used for a kitchen refit, quick to fit and just what was needed
