The Wera 8790 HMC 10mm deep socket with 1/2" drive and 83mm length is the smallest size in the range, ideal for accessing smaller metric fasteners in automotive, machinery and general engineering applications. Despite its compact 10mm dimension, the extended 83mm depth provides excellent reach for working with recessed bolts and protruding threaded rods. This socket size is particularly useful for electrical components, sensor brackets, trim fixings and smaller mechanical assemblies where space is restricted. The hexagonal profile ensures optimal six-point contact with bolt heads, maximising torque transmission whilst protecting fastener profiles from damage, which is especially important with smaller bolts that can be more susceptible to rounding.
