The Wera 840/1 ZBO 3mm Hex Pinned Security Bit is one of the most popular sizes in this professional tamper-proof range, ideal for general engineering, machinery assembly, and security-critical installations. This 3mm variant provides excellent versatility across a broad spectrum of applications where hexagon socket BO screws are specified for their anti-tampering properties. The robust tough viscous construction ensures reliable performance even when subjected to high torque loads and hard material applications. This bit incorporates Wera's patented Hex-Plus technology, which fundamentally reimagines the contact geometry between bit and screw. By offering a greater contact surface in the head of the screw, the notching effect is reduced to a minimum and damage to the screw head is virtually eliminated. This means your security fasteners maintain their integrity and can be reliably removed and reinstalled when required. The protruding pin in the BO screw profile provides effective security, as normal hex tools cannot move these specialised fasteners. The universal 1/4" hexagon drive (Wera connecting series 1) makes this bit compatible with holders conforming to DIN ISO 1173-D 6.3, including equipment from Bosch, Fein, Holz-Her, Lecreux, and Metabo.
