Very heavy. Emergency engine stop handle sticks - let go and the engine keeps running. Can't adjust the handle angle so one angle fits all. Instructions not easy to understand. The start cord is long and you need to pull it right out to start the engine, so impossible for my wife to start and too heavy for her too. All in all I am disappointed and would not recommend this machine.
Bought this 53cm mower to replace a slightly bigger machine, which had a rusted deck. Almost identical motor, so I knew what to expect there but this one is much easier to start. I never used the electric start on the old one and it had a ‘shove the handle forward’ mechanism, which never fully took over the drive, meaning you were always part pushing it. This one has full drive capability, but the start/stop is quite sudden and taking some time to get used to.
It cuts well, I like these engines and it is quite easy to manoeuvre with the drive off. Looks great too. Mulching requires insertion of a plastic plug vs my old one having a lever, but no big deal. The single lever for height adjustment also beats the adjuster on each corner of my last mower.
The User Manual supplied was for a different size deck, but they are probably identical machines other than size and there was no reference to the fitting of the two metal operating handles (common sense will suffice).
All in all, I am very pleased with my purchase.
Excellent service, order arrived on time. Thank you
