The gun is great and very well designed. The only issue I have is that it starts cooling itself up when switched off. I understand that it's a good health and safety feature, but it isn't practical if you need to use the gun multiple times in a row. It delays the process.
Great tool. Works much better than my previous two heat guns.
Only think to be aware of. It has a cool down cycle to protect it from overheating which can slow down working whilst you wait for it to switch off.
Also works well on lower temperature for moulding plastic.
Very versatile due to wide range of temperature settings and two speeds. Cooldown function is clever for safety and reliability. Stands so it will blow upwards for heating jobs where you need 2 hands, as well as cooldown.
Straight forward and good to use. Made stripping layers of paint from an old desk easy.
Bought this June 2019 not used much until this year stopped working today due to break in the cable where it enters the gun... and is unrepairable
Bought this last year, used it a little and then put it into storage. Recently started using it again and it has packed up because of a break in the cable where it enters the handle. There ought to be a cable strain relief at this point. An obvious design failing.
Really great product. I’ve only used it for a short amount of time to test it, and it does a good job so far. Very useful piece of equipment for home improvement, in my opinion.
Really good, excellent range of temperatures and fan speeds.
The wagner 500 heat gun ,I have only used for 30 minutes so far but seems to work really well, I am happy with the result it leave taking off paint.
I cant say how reliably it is or how long it will last!
Handy bit of kit, ordered here as cheaper than elsewhere and delivered first thing Monday despite only ordering on Sunday.
Easy to operate, good temperature range. Only comes with 2 attachments - glass protector and heat concentrator - where others have a wider range but if you don't need the bits then this is a great bit of kit.
Good gun with good low and high temperature control. Supplied nozzeles good for most tasks.
Perfect for home improvement, made relatively easy work of stripping a door.
Good design. But not quite enough power to effectively melt solder when soldering 15mm copper plumbing pipes. Marvellous otherwise :)
I bought this because it has a glass attachment and I have glass panels above my doors
my son wanted to repaint his guitar which had an epoxy finish which the orbital sanding sheets did not like, this heat gun soon sorted the problem and i now have a useful tool for repainting the house
Only used it to do one door so far but it was very efficient and controllable.
